By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that business.

What this site is

This site publishes educational information about cyber liability insurance and provides an online tool that produces a preliminary pricing indication and prepares a carrier application for your signature. It does not provide legal, accounting, cybersecurity, or personalized insurance advice, and reading it does not create a broker relationship on its own.

Indications and applications are not quotes, binders, or offers to insure

The premium range this site displays is a modeled estimate produced from rating tables in the page’s own code. It is not returned by a carrier and no carrier has seen your submission at that point.

A submission made through this site is not a bindable application. Completing and signing the application means you are asking a licensed broker to seek terms on your behalf. It does not bind coverage, it does not reserve capacity, and it does not obligate any carrier to offer anything.

No response you receive from this website — on screen, by email, or in an attached document — is a policy, binder, quote, or offer to insure. Carrier appetite, eligibility, pricing, terms, sublimits, retentions, subjectivities, and availability are determined case by case and are never guaranteed. Coverage is in force only when a carrier issues it in writing, and only on the terms of the policy the carrier issues. Until then you have no coverage from us or from anyone else through us.

Do not cancel, non-renew, or let existing coverage lapse in reliance on anything shown on this site.

Broker relationship and compensation

We act as an independent insurance broker. We are not an insurer, we do not have authority to bind coverage on a carrier’s behalf unless a specific carrier has granted it in writing for a specific program, and we do not represent every carrier in the market.

On standard placements the carrier or wholesale broker pays our commission and there is no separate broker fee. Any fee that would apply is disclosed to you in writing before you commit, as California law requires.

Cyber liability is frequently written on non-admitted paper. Where a placement is made in the surplus lines market it is placed through a licensed surplus line broker — this agency does not hold surplus line authority itself. Surplus lines insurers are not licensed by the California Department of Insurance and are not covered by the California Insurance Guarantee Association; where a surplus lines placement is made, the disclosure California requires is provided to you for signature as part of that placement.

Electronic transactions and signatures

Where you choose to sign your application electronically, you consent to transact electronically under the federal ESIGN Act and California’s Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, and you agree that your typed or drawn signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one.

Before you can sign, the site requires you to generate the completed application, scroll through every page of it, and tick three separate confirmations. When you submit, we create and retain an audit record of the signing event — described in our Privacy Policy — and email you a copy of what you signed. You may request a paper copy, or ask us to prepare your application without an electronic signature, by emailing reviews@bollinsure.com before you submit.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to use the site only for a genuine insurance enquiry. Insurance applications rely on the truthfulness of your answers — the security-control answers in particular. A material misstatement or omission can affect eligibility, pricing, a carrier’s willingness to offer terms, and the outcome of a future claim, including rescission of a policy already issued. If something changes between signing and binding, tell us.

You agree not to submit another person’s information without their authority, not to attempt to probe, scan, or disrupt the site or its functions, and not to scrape or reuse the content except as permitted below.

Calls, texts, and email

Giving us a telephone number on the application lets a licensed broker follow up on the submission you asked us to make.

The separate consent box beside the submit button is optional. Ticking it is express written consent for us to call and text you at the number you gave, including with an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice where we use one. It is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, reply HELP for help, or contact us by any reasonable means — we honor a revocation within ten business days at the latest. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what this site collects, the analytics and advertising tags that run on it, who receives your information, how long we keep it, your California privacy rights including the Do Not Sell or Share opt-out, and our notice of insurance information practices. It forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and code of this site are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, republished, or reused without permission. Carrier names, logos, and marks belong to their owners and appear here for identification and comparison only; their presence does not imply endorsement, appointment, sponsorship, or that a given carrier will consider your risk.

Third-party sites and carrier information

We link to third-party resources, including carrier and government sites, for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Carrier ratings, issuing paper, appetite, forms, and terms change; we confirm them at the time of placement rather than relying on what is published here.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a modeled indication will resemble any price a carrier offers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of this site — including any decision made in reliance on an indication, and including any gap in coverage. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, and nothing here limits any right you have under a policy actually issued to you, which is governed by that policy and by California insurance law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, except where California law gives you the right to bring a matter elsewhere or to a regulator.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date below reflects the latest revision, and a material change will be noted plainly at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
